New Zealand Cricket
Cricket
In my opinion playing sports by yourself is harder to do, playing as a team makes it easier to win because you have different people there.
Respect - So they are respectful towards the other team, they will also get respect from the opponent.
Fun - So they enjoy what they do and it's not just about competition.
Achievement - So they achieve their goals/medals and so that they will appreciate all the hard work put in to win.
In my opinion, in order for you to be a successful sports person you need to set an example, don't be a sore loser, stay positive and always thank the others.

Kindness
Kindness can mean many different things, but to me, kindness is..
1. Being friendly towards others.
2. Showing respect to elderly, parents and teachers.
3. Giving gifts and showing love.
4. Complementing people.
5. Hugging your parents and/or caregivers.
6. Being nice to everyone.
This is how i see kindness. We are all different but we have to accept each other.

Celebrations!
Celebrations can be many types of things, depending on who you are, what culture or religion you are. You can celebrate many different types of ways, for example. Birthdays, you sometimes celebrate with money and/or gifts, also food (My favorite). There is also other celebrations like Christmas or Halloween. Some people don't celebrate Halloween because of there religion and beliefs, some also don't celebrate Christmas. Celebrations are times to spend with your family.

My Mum
THANK YOU
For Being An Amazing Mother
My favorite thing about you is that you always help me cheer up when I am Sad or Angry.
I have learned from you that whenever you tell me to go to bed I should listen even when I am not tired because ill be tired in the morning.
My favorite memory from you is when we went to the movies together because the girls went out somewhere.
What I miss the most is when I was little and we used to all go out together to eat fish and chips on the beach.
Thank you for being such a caring and smart Mum, I love you.

Holidays
On the first day of the holidays (Saturday), I had swimming lessons. We used flippers and it made us swim faster. It was fun because in one blink of an eye we were at the other side. I liked it, it was like we were zooming in the water (VROOOOOM). We mostly did butterfly, backstroke and freestyle. The lesson finished so I went to the bathrooms to get ready.
For the rest of the week I technically just played roblox, went on call and watched tiktok. Boring, really boring. I played Wacky Wizards, Da Hood, Titanic Tragedy, Obbys and Bed Wars. I mostly played wacky wizards and Obbys. I also played google games, (Friv, Snake and Olympics 2021) I like the Olympics 2021 game, it was fun completing all challenges.
We also went out on drives, they were boring because I got a sore head. I got headaches which didn't hurt much but it was bothering me, it made me feel sick and unsettling. But I didn’t bother my parents so I just rubbed it off.

PENCIL
PENCIL
BY MONIQUE
The pencil was cheap looking, it had bites on the sides . It's saving grace was that it was sharp, very sharp. Sharp enough to be used as a weapon for protection. I usually pretended that my pencil was like a sword used for battling. Teeth marks at the top from someone chewing it (the dummy) made it look like rubbish from the bin. The wrecked pencil is now a decoration and reusable. My bitten pencil can still write and does the trick for now...

MATARIKI
MATARIKI
A MAORI CELEBRATION
When the Matariki stars appear it is the beginning of the Maori new year
We CELEBRATE Matariki like we celebrate Christmas, Halloween, our birthdays etc.
Like sisters the stars shine BRIGHT like the raging sun.
Matariki is a time for JOY, like spending time with family and friends.
It is a time to learn like when you're learning new things at school.
It is a time to plant crops like potatoes, wheat, tomatoes, kumara and pumpkin.
It is a time to fish and hunt animals.
It is a time to make things like flax Kete and spears.
It is a time to forgive and forget.
Matatriki reminds me of when we celebrate Christmas because we give gifts on Matariki.

Life Education
Yesterday and Today we learned to put ourselves in other peoples shoes.
Shake our emotions off and don't make it a big deal. For eg.
(If someone is feeling down, put yourself in there position and see how they feel.)

Integrity
Integrity means to always listen even when no one is near you. For example picking rubbish when no one is looking.
Or maybe showing integrity before school by getting ready, by brushing your hair, wearing the right uniform or charging your chrome book.
Getting to school before or just at 8:30 to get ready for class.

My sensory Poem
I can see the rain falling from the clouds through the window.
I hear the thunder outside my window *thud thud thud*
I smell my cheese cornto rice stick chips fresh from the packet.
I taste my crunchy chips dissolving in my mouth.
I can touch my chromebook as I'm writing my sensory poem
Inside I feel tired and happy because I can sleep in a lot and wake up to see my friends.
