Diwali

On Diwali people who celebrate Diwali Decorate there doorways with colourful designs they might use chalk, colourful sand, rice or even flour it's there choice.

On Diwali they might celebrate by lighting fireworks with there family or they might put fairy lights up.

On Diwali they may come up to your door to give you delicious treats to celebrate.

On Diwali they might celebrate by wearing colourful dresses, or they may wear Henna which is patterns they can wear across themselves like there feet or arms.

Favourite Station in Athletics

My favourite station in athletics was long jump because we got to jump in sand and at the end we got to jump for fun.

My First Day Of Junior School...😦😦😦😦😦😧😧😧😧😧😬😥

My First Day Of Junior School....

This story was when I  was 5 when I first started junior school. The first thing I
knew was I was horrified and really did not want to go to school. My mum took
me to school I remember I would never want to go to school because I love my
mum, I would never let her  go.

When I first started school I was really scared I even hid under the table when
I went inside. I used to cry in kindergarten when my mum left I even cried when
my mum had to go to work when I first started. My teacher was Miss Namburi
I was in Room 6. Ryan was actually in my class but then he wasn’t my friend.
Ryan used to be Maxes friend.

Ryan and Max used to be friends but Max hurt Ryan's feelings he felt very angry
and sad.

That day we became friends and Ryan has been in every class iv'e been in the
past years.

Ryan is my best friend and he is still in the same class as me.

My handwriting was horrible we did writing that day well I think we did. We played
games, danced to the music and did more fun activities I loved it. It was the best
day ever it was nearly the end of school and I loved school well I did.

Finally school finished and I really looked forward to the next day it was awesome.
Imagine if you  found money in class would you hand it in or take it to get lollies??

My favourite part was dancing and doing fun activities.

Rubbish Free

This is all the rubbish from my lunch and morning tea.

Room 8 is going rubbish free and will be taking our rubbish home to put in our own bins.

We need to keep Glen Taylor nice fresh and clean.

My Goal in cross country is to keep my pace and my other goal is to do more then 2 or 3 laps.

I will never give up and I will try my best to keep my pace and run more then 2 or 3 laps.

Tsunami

Tsunami

Warning:If you are in a tsunami don’t hesitate, drive or run straight to the highest point
in your city.  This is just a quick warning so you and your whanau are safe when this
happens you will know that it's coming because before a tsunami, an earthquake happens. 

One dark night I was laying in bed trying to fall asleep when all of a sudden my house
started to shake.I heard the lamp break in my bedroom and I quickly woke up every family
member and called down to my nana's house to warn her, my cousins, my Uncles and my
Aunt that there may be an earthquake.

We all ended up being safe but my dad's phone started to vibrate.  We thought it was
nothing but then he turned his phone on and there was a warning saying:
“Tsunami approaching I repeat Tsunami approaching this is not a drill”

My family and I have never experienced a Tsunami but we quickly got the things we
needed.  We got things like water, food, blankets and pillows chucked it in the back of my
father's car and as we were driving there was lots of traffic.

BEEP! My father beeped his horn and the traffic slowly started to fade. Next, as quick as
a flash we were up at Mt Wellington. We looked at all the earthquake and what did to our
land it looked smaller and then…..

1 hour later “MUM DAD IT'S COMING” I called and we all rushed to the middle of the
mountain.   We watched as all the houses get destroyed and as all my memories faded. I
felt sad but glad that me and my family were safe.

We saw the water pass and my family and I all hugged each other. We were all glad that we
got the notice and we all laid down on our blankets and watched the stars.

A few years passed and I feel great now that I know what to do when it comes to a tsunami
 Thank your mother, your father and  your whanau also love them because you don’t know
when or where you might lose them. Be thankful for who you have because some people have
nothing and no one.

I'm so thankful for what  I have and I do not want to lose it like when I nearly lost my
parents and my other family members.
